Hi,
Very frustrated because its late and I'm too warm and I just want this printer to work!
I have just bought it brand new and have done everything!
Ive set it up for wireless printing (because the usb cable is too short for me to connect it to my pc!)
I have done the wireless test - all good there. I have come to print a word doc off and the printer icon in my bottom right hand corner of my screen says it is pending. Great. Any thoughts, I really need to get this printer up and running!
I am working on Windows 7
Thanks for your help in advance!

Poor Baby! It can be frustrating when things do not work as you need.
Take a look at the bottom of this document; there are a couple of links to video help for installing your printer wirelessly:
Install Full Feature Software - Printer
In general, you need the same Full Feature Software; the steps to get it set up and going a a little different is all.
Take a look at the video help and see what you think you need to do to finish your installation and setup.
There are also some links to "extra help" in case you have trouble with the wireless information.
Good Luck!

Too Warm,
If there is a wireless light on the printer and that wireless light is blinking (instead of on-solid), then the wireless on the printer is active but not connected. That is, the wireless function, the wireless radio on the printer is "on", but it is not talking to anyone -- like your router.
- The Wireless Printing Center - Troubleshooting page Troubleshooting Your Printer - Network shows the general steps you have to follow to find out where the issue might be lurking.
- Even better, your printer support pages, provide the following Step-by-Step help guide for setting up the printer on a wireless network. Do take a look at this:
Commentary
- I would suggest you download and install the software from the downloaded installation package. The downloaded software is frequently more up to date than is a CD that comes in the box with the printer. For example, if the printer CD is older than a few months, then it may not have full support for Windows 8. The software you download from the HP support site for your printer is the latest software available.

Assuming you have everything connected properly
AND that your settings are in order,
AND that the router is happy with the printer (can see it)
then
it may be just a matter of driver entanglement.
If you have not already done so,
- Restart everything: Log off and shutdown the computer, switch off the Printer, and turn off your router.
- Switch on the router, wait 20 seconds or so for it to come up to speed.
- Switch on the printer and the computer and log in.
If that does not do it, and you are using an HP notebook,
- you can try the Hard Reset to clear out any "cobwebs".
- You can add an IP address to your router for the printer. This sometimes keeps the printer happy and it helps assure the printer and the router are talking to each other.

Too_Warm,
I have never had enough issues with ePrint to know what is wrong. I don't work for HP; the lack of knowledge is on me and not on HP for this one.
There is a Cloud Services help line just for eprint issues.
If you are in the USA or Canada, you can call them about "things that are ePrint".
When to call HP Cloud Services and When to Call HP Tech Support
This is a pretty comprehensive ePrint help file:
- Look under HP ePrint >> Troubleshooting ePrint
Unlike some help files, this guide actually does contain some "if it acts like this, do that" sort of advice. I do not know if YOUR issue is covered - you might find something in the guide that says to you, "Ah, that might be it."
I did have to go through my setup a couple of times to get it working the first time. I had a lot better luck after I actually read the help file .. and after I changed my ePrint email address from the default they assign to you to something I can remember.
Be sure to RESTRICT who can use the ePrint! If you do not restrict access, you can end up with e-Spam!
- Look in the ePrint Help Guide > under HP ePRint >> Managing ePrint Security >
- How can I restrict who uses ePrint on my computer?
Good Luck!

Warm,
At least it works now. USB is a poor substitute for wireless freedom; USB does provide a way to print your documents.
----------------------------------------------------------
If it is available on your printer , you might try the following method to set up the wireless. Ordinarily, Auto Wireless Connect is only available for about two hours after the first time the printer switched on.
- AWS only works for wireless connections - it does not work if the printer is connected with an Ethernet cable
- AWS reset removes previous settings
You can reset the printer and make AWS available again for a limited time. AWS uses the printers own wireless radio to connect to your home network -- it is the preferred method to make an initial connection.
Printer Menu
1. Press the Wireless button to display the Wireless Menu.
2. From the Wireless Menu, select Settings.
3. From the Settings menu, select Restore Defaults.
4. Confirm selection to restore defaults.
----------------------------------------------------------
Following is an excellent "how-to" user guide to help you set up the printer:
HP Deskjet 3050A J611 series - User Guide
In particular, you can check the printer's wireless connection status:
See Page 7 in the User Guide, section "Status Lights"
