Hi,
I bought the hp 6830 a couple of years ago. However, it is still virtually new as the wifi printing option has never worked for more than a week before failing and we've had no other manes of printing. It's been back to the dealer 4 times and comes back working for a few days before failing again.
We've given up on using the wifi, but as the printer is virtually unsused we are not willing to buy a new one yet.
Please could you advise re using the printer in another manner, preferably by wire or otherwise by USB?
Kind regards,
Mark

The Officejet Pro 6830 supports wired LAN and USB in addition to the wireless connection. If you have a router with an extra LAN port you can connect the printer to the router using a standard CAT5 LAN cable. The document here explains how to set up a wired LAN connection for the Officejet Pro 6830.
If you want to use a USB connection the document here will explain how to set up the printer for USB.

Feature | Description |
1 | Rear universal serial bus (USB) port |
2 | Ethernet network port |
