Turn off your printer, hold the reset button that should be at the back of your printer, turn the printer on again while holding the button, wait until the printer turns in "ready" state.

Hope this works :smileyhappy:

The correct procedure for a cold reset is to turn the printer off. Now press the green go button down and turn on the printer. Continue to hold the button down for at least 5 seconds but not more than 15 seconds. Release and the printer will perform the reset and come to ready.

I need to know how to reset the HP 1320 non network printer so even the  page counts go to zero as this is the only way to get envelopes to print again. If anyone can suggest it or another procedure to get the envelope tray to work thanks.

There is no reset button on the back and the reset process mentioned does not work.

The button in the rear is only on the "N" models to reset the network card only. My procedure works for a cold reset that does not reset page counts. To reset page counts you need to perform a NVRAM reset.

NVRAM initialization sets all default variables stored in NVRAM back to factory default
values or to a default ROM value, depending on the variable. It also performs a system reset.
NVRAM initialization resets the following:
● All menu settings to factory default values
● Factory settings such as formatter number, page counts, and factory paper settings
To perform NVRAM initialization
1. Turn the printer off.
2. Press and hold down the GO button.
3. Turn the printer on, and continue to hold the GO button for at least 20 seconds. During
this process, the GO button, Attention, and Ready LEDs each turn on.
4. Release the GO button.
The printer LEDs will begin cycling. The NVRAM-unit process runs until the printer is in the
ready state.

Thanks David. I got the page count to zero but envelopes still won't print. It grabs the envelope like it should but then when I send it from Word 2007 the green light blinks and the roller sounds but after 5-10 seconds the orange light comes on and the roller shuts off. I am able to feed the envelope if I press the green or orange button but unprinted. If you can help,  Thanks

I removed the printer and reloaded the driver USB. Your NVRAM solution worked to reset but still have envelope feed problem. Thanks

What happens if you leave the bottom tray open and feed an 8.5x11 sheet into the manual slot when you send an envelope. What prints if anything or does the paper also move thru the printer. If the paper does not move, you need to clean the pickup roller. Use warm soapy water.

Hi, thanks for replying. If I place the 8.5x11 paper in the envelope tray it does the initial grab then I print(from Notepad) and rollers make a sound but the paper does not move then the orange light comes on. I would think it's the pickup roller problem but when I hit either button the paper feeds trough fine but just not printed. I also noted the orange light blinks after it fails to suck in the paper. Then if I hit the green button the paper feed through unprinted and the orange light stays blinking. Then if I hit green button again the page prints from the bottom tray.

I replaced what I thought was the pickup roller about 2000 pages ago, last year. It's gray and the rubber part is not round but oblong. Is there another pickup roller in this printer? After replacing, the main tray feeds fine.

Thanks
