How do I adjust printer for Avery #8160 when there is no "labels" listed in the drop down menu?

There is no paper option as "labels" listed on the drop down..... what papertype should I use?

Hi @MDFAN,

I understand that you are having an issue with printing labels on Avery #8160 on your HP Printer. Don't worry I'll try my best to help you with this,

In this scenario, I would suggest you try to use Microsoft word.

To choose the correct template for Microsoft Word please carry out the following: 1- Click on the Office Button then NEW / BLANK DOCUMENTS then CREATE. 2- From the toolbar click on the MAILINGS tab 3- Click on CREATE, then the LABELS sub-category 4- In the ENVELOPES and LABELS box click on OPTIONS. 5- In the OPTIONS dialogue box click on the drop down box to the right of LABEL VENDORS and select Avery A4/A5 6- From the PRODUCT NUMBER list select the Avery template and click on OK

For more details, please follow this link.

I do not know if you have tried this or not, it may be worth a look.

Avery has free software that installs into Office Word:

Avery Wizard for Microsoft® Office

I just checked; the Template you mentioned is part of the program.

If you do not have access to Word, I believe you could use the program online (at the website) and then print the output on your printer.

The nice thing about this version of the software, again assuming you have Word, is that the output creates a Word document format (.doc / .docx) -- no proprietary software types.

I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes for further assistance.

Keep me posted,

I do not use Word!

I appreciate the info-- but my question is really only about the printer!

My printer does not offer "LABELS" as an option when I look in the drop down.

Trying to find out what settings I need to set my printer at to print Avery #8160 labels?

Hi @MDFAN,

Thank you for replying,

I would suggest you can try to create a custom size and check if that helps, using this support document.

Alternatively, you can check using Word or Wordpad.

Please respond to this post with the results of the troubleshooting steps for further assistance.

Regards,
