How do I get my office jet 4500 printer back online to print?  I use a usb cable.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read about your HP office jet 4500 printer going offline.

 

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

 

For Windows OS try these troubleshooting steps.

  • Reset the printer and check the connection status.
  • Reinstall the printer using HP Printer Assistant

For Mac of try these steps.

  • Check the connection between the printer and the Mac.
  •  Reset the printer.
  • Remove multiple printers from the printer list.
  • Reset the printing system.
