I have a new computer using Windows 10 but would like to download and install my printing software to my old HP LaserJet 5100 (I misplaced the CD). My printer works fine, by the way, and my internet connection is a hotspot. I downloaded HP LaserJet 5100 PCL6 Class Driver and HP Universal Printing PCL 6. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to download either one or both. I tried testing my printer with a test page and it came out fine. Then, I tried printing out a document and the letters came out as blocks. At this site, I read where someone had a similar problem and tried removing the software but could not. When trying to remove the driver and pacakge at the "Print Server Properties" window, I kept getting the message: "Driver HP LaserJeft 5100 PCL Class Driver (x64) is in use. It is used on: HP LaserJet 5100 PCL Class Driver" after clicking on the first one AND "Driver HP Universal Printing PCL 6 is in use. It is used on: HP Universal Printing PCL 6 (Copy 1)" on the second one. PLEASE, how do I remove these two printing softwares, so I can download and install the correct one? Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Chgo,
To uninstall the existing drivers for the printer completely from Windows, please you see my post at:
To reinstall driver for your printer, you try download and install with old drivers of HP at:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/UPD/
Note: Some HP Laserjet 5100 working fine with “upd-pcl6-x64-6.0.0.18849” (HP Universall Print Driver for PCL6 version 6.0.0.18449) and Windows 10 (64bit).

Hey Dung,
I tried deleting everything related with HP from reading your past post before I decided to ask for help yesterday. I was stuck on #5 where you said to "Type printui.exe /s and click OK". It won't let me delete the software. It keeps saying that it is in use. Perhaps, I will have to use a recovery disk to erase it.
