Does anyone know if Canon printers require a cloud login?  I am thinking of ordering one tomorrow.

The windows 10 Fax and Scan within Windows Accessories does do the trick--without any cloud obligation. I also tried Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop as well. There too, the scanning worked without getting into HPSmart and its misbegotten obligations.  Thanks to all for the pointers.
