Unable to set up new HP Officejet Pro 8620e-all-in-one Series Printer purchased 6/11/2015 at Office Depot.
Loaded software but it did not take me thru a Set Up procedure.
It gave me set up with Japanese or Chinese language. I have tried for two days to change the language. Went on Hp Help Chat with Sara and still was unable to change language. ide give me a link that had a video that talked about setting up a language , but did not help with changeing the automatic Japanese or Chinese Screen. Can NOT read the printer screens.
Have spent hours of frustrating effort to set up and connect wireless system to the printer. Unable to retrieve Network Setting. Worked fine with older HP 6700 printer that quite on me and I had to replace it.

Could not follow any suggestions due to Japanese or Chinese symbols . Cound not compare instructions to the scree language symbols. It appeared to be Set Up for the printer?
I finally went back to HP Help/Chat. Did not get ack to Sara , even tho she said I could reach her on a link in her email about continuing to solve my problem.
Did start new Chat with Bret. He was very knowledgeable. Led me thru the Japanese/Chinese set up screen to get to the one that related to languages nand search that screen for English. Which I did find and confirmed the set up fo English. The it worked great and I could actually read the set up instructions for the printer! I could take it from there,
In addirion, I soved the second problem related to making the printer Wireless. That did not work at first either! Had to do wome tweeking due to Web Services problems. Cound not print. PC and Printer not communicating even tho the Printer said connected! Closed some of the Web Services and then the connection to the Pc?Printer worked. zi printed some email right away to test it Okay! Thanks to Chat Help with Bret..Great Job Bret! Thank you so much! Enter the menu on the printer's display.
Find Setup
Chinese 设定
Japanese セットアップ
Now find Tools (This may just be an icon)
Chinese 工具
Japanese ツール
Find Restore Factory Defaults
Chinese 恢复出厂默认设置
Japanese 工場出荷時のデフォルトに戻します
You will see a choice of Yes or no.
Choose yes.
Chinese 是的
Japanese はい
Now choose OK.
If your printer was purchased from within the English languagemarket, the printer should be reset to an English menu.

Follow the video below. Even though the language characters on your printers display will be different, the items aill be located in the same screen position. The video is for the 8600 series, but it should still help you. I am surprised that you haven't taken the printer back to the store and demanded that they set up the language for you. I admire your patience.

Got no help form one person wanted me to check out foreing language steps in set up and find English. couold not read the Japanese or chinese symbols to tell any thing. second was to watch avideo that I watched and it did not help either. might help to establish a language but not when there already is one on the screeen!
The oly thing that helped was the HP Chat and only one out of the three were successful. That was Bret. He really did a great job and I gave him a good rating.
