HP 4500 all in one
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My printer will not print and indicates a carriage jam and tells me to open door and a clear carriage jam but there is nothing there and there is no paper jam. I have tried unplugging the machine, restarting it, yada yada - i think it may just need a good ole factory reset!

Help!!!

Hi,

What is your HP 4500 (HP has few classes of printers using same code: 4500). The following steps are for Officejet 4500

  • Unplug the power cord from the HP All-in-One.
  • Wait for 20 seconds.
  • Press and hold # and 6 while plugging in the power cord to the HP All-in-One.
  • Release the buttons after the HP All-in-One starts up.
  • The HP All-in-One will now be reset to factory defaults.

Regards.
