Description and Symptoms
The error messages, alerts, warnings, and symptoms below are tied to this error.
The error indicates that the system error handler couldn’t catch an exception generated by a kernel mode program. It’s mostly displayed as a Blue Screen Error (BSOD) or a STOP code. When this happens, the computer shuts down abruptly.
The error can be caused by one of the following situations:
- Hardware problems
- Incompatibility with device drivers
- Corrupt system services
- Recently installed software applications that might be incompatible with your Windows versions
Cause 1: Faulty RAM module
The most common cause of this error is a faulty RAM module that periodically gives read/write errors. If that’s the case, then it is advisable to scan the system memory and replace the faulty RAM module.
Cause 2: Corrupt or outdated device drivers
Sometimes the device drivers may become misconfigured, corrupt or outdated. That may also happen after a Windows update or a Windows downgrade from a newer system to an older one.

Hello Riddle_Decipher ,
the steps that i followed :
1. I Removed the video driver from my Laptop and , then my existing problem on vmware machine "kmode exception not handled " is gone but the new problem has occured on my Physical machine that is SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED . It showing when i shut down/restart my laptop only .
Forcefully i turned of my laptop . But when i turn on my Laptop , there is no warning message . also i used driver verifier manager and memory diagnosis . There was no problem .
2. I have downloaded the latest driver from HP Driver center and installed it and also removed Vmware Pro 12 from my
Laptop(Physical Machine)
3.I have updated my Laptop OS that is Windows 10 latest update
4.Then I Have installed Hyper-V . and I didn'n get any problem on Hyper-V but on Hyper-V Machine , Display is not good of Windows 7 Machine .
Very soon , I will install Vmware Pro 12.5 [latest version ] , then i will check it again.
Note : My Additional RAM :
Memory Slot 2: 4GB A-DATA Technology 2133Mhz
I have no Antivirus .
I think , we should use the Latest Windows 10 with latest updates .
Thanks
