@Bear007

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP Color LaserJet CP1525nw Printer. I understand that you are getting unable to update the printer firmware and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

Perform a NVRAM reset on the printer.

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

Please check your Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile,

Next, to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Please reply back on the public post as this Private message box is not monitored.

I hope this helps resolve this issue completely,

Regards,

  2. Restore Defaults
    1. Press OK to open the menus.
    2. Use the Left arrow or the Right arrow button to select the Service menu, and then press the OK (Select) button.
    3. Use the left arrow or the right arrow button to select Restore defaults, and then press the OK button. The product automatically restarts.
  3. NVRAM Initialization

    2. Simultaneously press the right arrow button and the Cancel button. Keep these buttons depressed as you turn the product on.
    3. When the Permanent storage init. message appears on the display, release both buttons.
    4. When the product has finished the NVRAM initialization, it returns to the Ready state.

Once it is reset, Click here and refer the document to update the printer firmware.

Why do you keep posting solutions that don’t work at all.... do you even have one you can experiment on?

I will ship you mine which includes $400 in new Timor which I installed right before it crapped the bed...

Once you have figured out a way to actually solve the issue, you can post useful instructions for the others and also send mine back in working condition...
