Hi @alayaconsulting,

I see by your post that you would like to know how to set the two-sided printing option. I would like to help.

I have provided the instructions for printing duplex manually. This information is from the manual on page 48.

Laserjet P1102w.

Print on both sides (duplex) with Windows:

1. Load paper face-up in the input tray.

2. Open the printer driver, and then click the Properties or Preferences button.

3. Click the Finishing tab.

4. Click the Print On Both Sides (manually) check box. If you will bind the document along the

top edge, click the Flip pages up check box.

5. Click the OK button to print the first side of the job.

After the first page prints, you should get a prompt to flip the page/s over to finish printing on the other side.

If you are still having issues, it could be a communication problem. Temporarily turn off the Antivirus to see if you have the same results.

Print on both sides manually on the Mac:

1. Insert enough paper into the input tray to accommodate the print job. If you are loading special
paper such as letterhead, load it face-down in the tray.
2. On the File menu, click Print.
3. Mac OS X v10.4: In the Layout drop-down list, select the Long-edged binding item or the
Short-edged binding item.
-or-
Mac OS X v10.5 and v10.6: Click the Two-sided check box.
4. Click Print. Follow the instructions in the dialog box that opens on the computer screen before
placing the output stack in the tray for printing the second half.

5. Go to the product, and remove any blank paper that is in the tray.
6. Take the printed stack from the output bin, and then insert the stack printed side down into the tray
with the top edge feeding into the product first.
7. At the computer, click the Continue button to finish the print job.

If you are using a newer version of Mac, the drivers are installed from the Apple Updates and they won't have all the same features installed as the HP Full Feature Drivers.

Have a wonderful day!
Thank You.

I am a mac user, I follow all of instruction on HP manual user on page 23, on clause "7" I have to click on continue, but there isn't any "continue" option on printer application or product. And after printing half pages, application doesn't work.

Hi @sabokro,

Welcome back to the HP Support Forums! I understand that you are having issues printing two-sided from the Mac. I will certainly do my best to help you.

Depending on what operating system you are using, you might have the option to print two-sided. If you have the Full Featured drivers installed for the printer, you should have the ability to print two-sided properly. If you are using the pre-installed Apple drivers, you won't be able to fully print two-sided.

What operating system are you using? Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer?

You can try the steps in this document, to see if it will allow you to duplex manually, HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer - Macintosh: The Manual Duplexing Only Prints on One Side in OS X Ver...

Disregard the operating system listed.

Have a nice day! Thank you.
