Hi,
I got a second hand officejet off eBay and it kept asking me to connect to HP instantink, even though I've done a factory reset and other resets i can do.
What should I do it get the printer to forget its instantink status?
Thanks.

@Lestin, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
To assist you better, what model printer are you using?
Refer to this document to know how to find the Product Name or Product Number.
If the previous owner had enrolled this printer in Instant Ink, it has to be deleted from his account.
Printers can only be added to one HP account at a time. Work with the owner of the first account to use the features of the printer, or remove the printer from the first account before adding it to yours.
If you do not know the owner of the first account (you bought the printer secondhand or lost the account information), we will have to perform a factory reset on the printer.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi Kumar,
I did a factory reset and it still thinks I'm an InstantInk user, each time I print, I need to press the button to say i'm not...
I can email the seller but what should I ask them to do? Do you have an instruction for them to remove from their account?
Thanks.

Are you using Instant Ink cartridges in the printer?
If yes, kindly use the regular HP ink cartridges as you do not have an Instant Ink account.
The previous owner has to delete the printer from his Instant Ink account.

Let me know how it goes.
