No error messages or changes of any kind. What I would like to know is how to get the paper to print out in reverse order all the time without going in and clicking each time (which I often forget). Can the default be made to reverse to order?

Hi @manul1,
Thanks for visiting the HP community. A good day to you. I came across your post where you require assistance to print in reverse. I will be delighted to assist you here.
Splendid effort and great description of the issue. Kudos to you on that score. 🙂
- Please let me know the operating system used? Is it Windows or Mac?
- What app is being used to print? Is it MS word or Adobe?
For a start assuming that the operating system is windows please try these steps:
Assuming you have installed the Full Feature Software for your mystery printer, and that you are running the latest version of Adobe Reader DC, the following might be helpful.
Word
- Check Word document > File > Options > Advanced >> scroll down to Print >
- Ensure / Clear check from "Print pages in reverse order" > OK
PDF (Adobe Reader DC)
PDF document > File > Print > under Pages to Print > More Options >
- Ensure / Clear check from "Reverse pages" > Print
You could also check this forum link for reverse order printing. Although it is for windows 7, the steps should still be relevant for windows 10 or Windows 8.1
If the operating system is a MAC, then please try these steps to print in reverse order and follow the steps
Print pages in reverse order
When you print a document, you can choose to have it print from the last page to the first.
-
Choose File > Print.
-
If you see a Show Details button, click it to show all available options.
-
Click the print options pop-up menu (the pop-up menu within the separator bar), then choose Paper Handling.
-
Click the Page Order pop-up menu, then choose Reverse.
-
Click Print.
Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. 🙂 Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you. 🙂
To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help.
