If the printer is still available on the network then enter the printer's IP address in your browser.  This will open the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS).  From the EWS click Settings, Security, Access Control, then enable or disable appropriate settings.  You may also want to review the Administrator Settings.

If network access is blocked then from the front panel click Settings, scroll down to the bottom to Factory Reset.  Pressing the factory reset will reset the printer, you will need to set it up again.

I will forward your information on to an HP Expert that should be able to send you some reset  instructions that would override the administrator lock.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Have send you a private message to do a Semi-Full reset of your printer, please look for it in the top right hand corner of the HP Forum page (envelope icon)

Let us know if that helps!

I set an administrator password and it's not working to unlock administrator features on my printer. Also , I'm not sure what my username was. I need to find out how to reset my printer to factory default or completely restore all my settings. Any help would be appreciated.
