My HP Photosmart 7510E came with a CD/DVD media tray so that you can print directly on inkjet printable media.  Unfortunately there was no documentation that tells you how to load the tray properly.

Several attempts to load the CD/DVD tray produced a message saying remove duplexer unit/check paper path.

The documentation did provide a tip on where to store the CD/DVD media tray, but that was unfortunately wrong/incorrect for the model I own.  The user and owner manuals provided no hints either.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi,

I can't even Google for a 7510E. I've got a 7510 w/o E and w/o the attachment. Logically it should be attached to the printer from the front.

Regards.

Updated: Checking the product number and model number, they are exactly the same numbers with my printer. The attachment did not come with my printer and based on the following document:

   http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/newsroom/press_kits/2011/InnovationforImpact/HP_Photosmart_7510_eAIO.pdf

the box only has:

WHAT’S IN THE BOX

HP Photosmart 7510 e-All-in-One (C311a), HP 564 Black Ink Cartridge (~ 250 pages),

HP 564 Photo Ink Cartridge (~ 130 4 x 6-inpages), HP 564 Cyan Ink Cartridge (~ 300 pages), HP 564 Magenta Ink Cartridge (~ 300 pages), HP 564 Yellow Ink Cartridge (~ 300 pages), Software CD, Reference Guide, power supply, power cord, Reusable Tote, Accessory Bag. [Average based on ISO/IEC 24711 or HP testing methodology and continuous printing. Actual yield varies considerably based on content of printed pages and other factors. Some ink from included cartridge is used to start up the printer. For details see http://www.hp.com/go/learnaboutsupplies]

Very interesting why you've got that part !

I have the same model printer but mine does not have a cd/dvd tray, only the paper tray that inserts

in the front of the printer, I know of some models that do come with a dvd so you can insert your sd card and burn directly to disc but I have never heard of this model doing that. I think that model is from another brand that burns your pictures to disc.

This model just has a photo tray and a paper tray that one inserts on the front of the printer, in the middle.
