Hp deskjet 2132
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, everytime i turn on my Hp deskjet 2132 printer, it prints a test page for the print quality...

ive placed it on the scanner and clicked the colour and black and white button to scan it and it prints the exact same page.

Ive tryed clicking both buttons together and then i get a description of the printers specs etc and an error code that is just a lot of 0's.

I brought this printer about 2 weeks ago and installed the ink etc and have printed quite a few times but this still keeps printing. Its costing me a lot of paper and wasting ink that isnt free!

Is this printer faulty? or am i just doing something wrong? im so confused!!

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks from Candice Clews

I understand you are having printing issues on your HP DeskJet 2132 printer. I'll be really glad to help you with this,

It sounds like the alignment didn't finish when you setup the printer initially. The alignment sheet needs to be scanned or the process repeats itself. This is normal and it will continue to realign itself until it is completed successfully.

Please make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.

Remove all the ink cartridges and then try to perform a Hard reset on the printer.

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Remove USB cable, if present.

Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.

Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.

Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Now insert the ink cartridges and then try to print a test page and check if it works.
