Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I am in the process of installing my HP printer and I ran the software and I am at HP Easy Start.  It says to press the continue button but it does show anywhere on the screen.

Hi @LillianBill,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see that you are experiencing issues continuing the installation. I can help you, but I will need some more information to provide the proper steps to try and resolve this issue.

What is the full name and product number of your printer? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?

How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)

What operating system are you using?

How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.

Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer?

It would be great if you could provide a screen shot.

Here are a couple of screen shots, that should show the continue option that you might be getting. Let me know.

Can someone help me - what happened - did they find the continue button as I would like to do so as well ( I am getting the same message as  Rob_F.   As it is,  I know the printer is working, but what have I missed out on?

Like others I am seeing the same problem as Rob_F as well - there is no 'continue' button.

The printer is an OfficeJet 4650, by the way.

To be stuck when I just want to install the printer software is infuriating,

particularly when others have had the same issue and no solution has been shared.

This happened to me in August 2016 and I think from memory I went to the Start button, control panel, then to appearance and personalisation, then to task bar and start menu, then customise the start menu and  on taskbar, ticked the  auto hide the taskbar.

After all that I was able to find the continue button, press that and get on with getting my printer ready.

Don't forget to go backwards and untick the auto hide taskbar.

I do this every time anything like this or save is under the taskbar and find it helps me.

hi there - I just had the same problem, the issue is that the retarded installation software window is going off the bottom of the screen and there is no scroll bar so you can't see the continue button. I solved this by changing my monitor resolution to 800x600 whilst doing the installation and then changed it back to normal afterwards. Hope that helps, if not try a different resolution and hopefully you can find one which works. Tim
