Turns out the ribben cable fix is TEMPORARY in my experience.

 

I can print a single page, but then need to unplug everything, pull the cable, and put it back in again and power everything up only to be able to print one more page.  I also can't print any pages of a multi-page PDF.

 

This printer is done unfortunately and I have replaced it with a M477dfw.

 

Too bad the fix is temporary.
