I recently upgraded to OS X 10.7 My computer is of such age that no further upgrades are available.

I have installed new drivers and reloaded the printer.

Hi! @JRZ1, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand that you have installed a new toner cartridge on your printer however it is showing low toner.

Don't worry I would like to help.

Where do you get this error message is it on the printer or on your PC?

Have you tried printing using a different cartridge?

If you have not tried please try using a different cartridge and check if it helps.

Please try the steps recommended below to print a configuration page.

Method one: Print a Configuration page from the printer control panel
Make sure that the Ready light () is on and that the product is idle and silent.
Press and hold the Go button (), and release it when the Ready light () begins blinking.
The Configuration page prints.

Refer this document to know more information about printing a configuration page.

Also, refer this article to know the Supplies Error Code on the printer control panel.

I'll watch you reply!

Have a wonderful day ahead! 🙂
