HP ScanJet 5300c Scanner
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I am using an HP scanner ScanJet 5300c since a long time. It was working correctly with windows XP. But now i am using windows 7 32 bit enterprise but my scanner is not working on it. i have tried my old software to upgrade but neither it is upgrading nor any software is available with HP.. what should i have to do now... plz help

I I did not find this driver in HP web, only in driverscape:

Hi @Shafqat_Ameer,

The HP Scanjet 5300c is not supported on Windows 7, no drivers are available for the operating system as stated below:

You may try the 3rd party Vuescan application which seems to support your scanner with no need of any drivers:

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.  Apologies for jumping in here.

 

Can you try this:

 

HP Scan Extended

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Let us know if that works.
