I am having similar problems with my model MFP 377dw printer

In addition to getting messages about improper cartridges when in fact they are brand new HP cartridges and also geeting the message about improper shut dow when I have been using the power button properly I am also getting the following error message: B8BC12F2 with a power button symbol above this string of numbers and letters.

I cannot seem to progress past this and do not know what it requires.

Can anybody help?

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your printer. Let me see if I can help.

 

Do note that HP ink cartridges do have a Warranty End date, so you may want to check and see if your set is still within the warranty window.

If a problem with an HP Inkjet product occurs, visit the retailer, call the regional customer support phone number listed on the product insert, or click Contact HP on this page for more support options.

Is printer showing following error before shutting down?

Incompatible Cartridges. This Printer is Not Designed to Use Continuous Ink Systems.

To resume printing, remove the continuous ink system, and then install genuine HP (or compatible) ink cartridges.

Ink cartridges require periodic servicing by printer hardware to maintain good print quality and avoid damaging the printer.
