HP Smart Tank 615 Wireless All-in-One

Hi,

My HP Smart Tank 615 printer does not print the Cyan and Yellow colors, and intermittently printing the Magenta color. Upon my checking I observed that the ink hoses from the ink tank has a lot of air about halfway from the ink tank and the cartridge (printing heads) which possibly block the inks from flowing into the cartridges.

My question: Is there an HP app or printer tools/utilities that can flush the air out of the ink tubes just like in other inkjet printer manufacturers?

Thank you in advance.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Does the copy print out the same way?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps to isolate the issue-

  • Step 1: Check ink levels and fill ink tanks
  • Step 2: Make sure you are using the correct paper for your print job
  • Step 3: Check the print settings
  • Step 4: Check for ink smears on the back of printouts
  • Step 5: Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page
  • Step 6: Clean the printheads

Click here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c06301281 to complete the troubleshooting steps. By the end of the article, you will be able to isolate the issue.

I also performed the steps you enumerated in your reply but no improvement in he printing output.

But what I observed in my printer is same as the photo above.

Best regards.
