Photosmart C6380 (out of warranty) printer will not print.  The message "Ink System Failure 0xc19a0023"  appears.  I have followed the suggested solutions of turning the printer off and on; and cleaning the print head.  The message is the same.  Will an empty print cartridge cause this message?   How can I be sure a new printhead is required?  I was unable to find information about new printheads on the HP site.  Thank you.

Thank you.  I was able to get a tel number.  However, does anyone know whether an empty cartridge will cause the "Ink System failure" message?  Usually I would just receive a caution that ink is low.  Since the website instructions say not to use the old ink cartrideges after installing a new printhead, I'm wary of putting in a new cartridge and then not being able to use it later.

Clara, I've been  fussing with this "Ink System Failure" problem for two days and now  I think it is solved. After cleaning the printhead with no good results,  I followed all the tests in the toolbox (alignment, clean printhead, diagnostic page and test page).  For some reason, the printer now works properly.  Maybe it's our hot weather...  Thank you for your time.

Help I have the same problem but with code 0xc19a0020 It was working fine until I put in new ink cartridges. Than it came up with this code and I can't do anything, It just keeps flashing the light and that ink system failure. I did shut off and clean. Now even though it has new ink cartridges it is showing they are all empty and there not. Still can't get rid of error message and use the machine to do anything. I went through each step on the web site to fix and nothing works. HELP! I am getting very mad with it since it doesn't get much  use.
