When setting up printer on first use, I get the error message "remove and reinstall the indicated ink cartridge, making sure that it is correctly installed, and then touch OK." I have done this several times and still get the message. I visited the manual and have wiped the contacts. I still get the error message. My printer is wireless.

Greetings @Elisabel,
Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.
I understand that you are trying to setup the printer for the first time and the cartridges are not getting recognized.
Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own by cleaning the contacts.
Not to worry, I will be glad to help you.
Have you removed all the packaging materials from the printer?
As you have already cleaned the contacts on the cartridge, recommend you to try Step 5 and 6 in this HP Article.
If the issue persists, please contact our phone support to have the cartridges replaced.
