I owned printer HP C7280 All-in-One

Recently if I turn the printer I get  hard annoying sounds , gear types , than after awhile I received the message that;

"Open the door, clear cartridge jam, and then press OK to continue"

I made all possible investigations from front and back more than 20 times to see any jammed papers or even small debris, NOTHING EVER found at all,

Then when I close door and press okay, the printer goes with all hard gear engagements sounds and all over again and this message appears this time:

" INK SYSTEM FALIURE

Ink system has failed. Unable to copy, receive fa or print. Refer to printer document: Error: 0xc05d1281

Turn power off then again"

I couldn't even power off the printer from the on/off button  as it keeps staying on too.

First of all there is no such a cod in the documents, and I tried all possible solutions stated in HP support blog, none of them helped me at all.

Please help me to reserve this situation.

Many thanks

Sorry that you are having problems with error code message.

Here is a link that may assist you, if you haven't already tried so.

Your print head may be clogged, dirty, or has gone bad.

Perform a hard reset on the printer. Unplug the power cord from the back. Leave it out for 30 seconds and plug it back in.

If you can take the print head out, clean with lint free cloth and water.

Thank you very much indeed for your assistance.

Please notice that I already tried this hard resetting solution for many times  yet the problem was not resolved or even improved.

Secondly because print head on C7280 is not removable very easily, but rather  through releasing a few screws I noticed

1. could you send a picture showing me how and from where I can release the print head,

2. which part of head should be cleaned up

3. and how it should be conducted in a not harmful way for a print head.

Once again many thanks.

No problem at all. Sorry, if you have to remove screws and things just to get the print head out, it is not detachable.

The print head usually looks like a cartridges and you can just lift latch and take it out. After research on this printer, it seems that it doesn't remove.

You may have to contact HP Support (1800-474-6836).

Also, try to plug the unit directly into a wall outlet instead of a surge protector. Unplug the USB cable and all, and see if you still get the same message.
