I just got my first Chromebook.  Now I need to install the network printer, an 8610.  How do I do this?

Hi,

For printing use HP Print for Chrome:

For scanning you may set Scan to Email with a Chromebook and scan to your Gmail.

 

To set a such follow 'Scan directly to email (network connections only) > Step 1: Set up the Scan to Email profile > Windows > Method two: Use the Embedded Web Server to set up Scan to Email' below:
