I work from home, my company uses a VPN to connect to the corporate network, when in the home office and connected to the VPN I cant see any printer connected to my home network, so I connect to the printer using USB, however there are times when I am not connected to the VPN or working in the home office and cant connect using USB, at these times I can see the printers on the home network but the laptop isnt setup to print over the network.
My question is, would it be possible to either configure the laptop so it can see the printers on the home network when connected to the VPN or install both USB and Network drivers so I can print from any location ?

Hello, @BPool_Heath – Hope you are well 🙂
Thanks for engaging in the HP Forums! I see by your post that you are experiencing HP printer related issues. I will certainly do my best to help you!
Going through your post, I see that you are connecting the laptop to the company’s VPN network while trying to print to your home network printer.
This could be little tricky to do since while connecting to your VPN network, essentially your PC will be on a different network than that of your printer. But, you can try changing the IP address range on your router to get this working. This process is different in each router and you might need to contact the ISP to get this done.
Now, to answer you next question, yes, the printer should print if you are connected directly using the USB cable. Unplug and re-plug the printer USB cable on your PC. Go to control panel – Devices and printers and select the 7500 (USB) as your default printer and then try printing.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!
Cheers 🙂
