Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8710
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Server 2016

Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to install the Universal Fax driver from HP on a Server 2016. (HP Universal Fax Driver for Windows 2.0.209) Either the installation software simply crashes or, if you unpack it and try to install the fax driver, you get a message that the operating system is not supported.

 

Is there a way to install the fax driver including software on a Windows Server 2016?

 

And if not, why is this "Universal Fax Driver" for Server 2016/2016 offered for download?

 

The same also applies to normal printer software. Why doesn't HP manage to make this software compatible with the server operating systems? Other manufacturers can do that too!
