Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I migrated to a new computer. When I went to download the software, the recommended item to download is the HP Smart App to install the printer. The app only installed the Printer under devices on the computer, but no software except for HP Smart. The HP Smart scanner feature is not as good as the software loaded onto the computer. I want to download the dedicated printer and scanner software to my computer so I can have the full features of the product. I could not see where it is available on the download site, except for a 3rd party app. How do I get the official HP software for my printer/scanner?

 

By the way, It seems a customer should be able to get live support for issues like this whether the printer is in or out of warranty.
