I just retired (in October 2021).  Decided to cancel the Instant Ink Subscription -- as I figured I would buy ink as I needed it-- and would save money in the process.  Current ink cartridges were purchased as part of the previous subscription.  Today HP turned off the print cartridges and I can no LONGER ACCESS THE INK THAT I PAID FOR!!!!     This is a ***bleep*** by HP to force me to give them every nickel and dime they can shake out of my bank account (regardless of what their stupid algorithm says)!   I will probably in the future buy any printer but an HP.  In engineering school  Hp products were all I would consider.  No longer will I consider ANY Hp products.

Hi @randyfrazier,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are unable to use the instant ink cartridges after cancellation.

HP Instant Ink cartridges do not work after the end of your current billing period, and you are required to return them to HP. To continue printing after your billing cycle ends, make sure you have standard replacement ink cartridges ready to use in your printer.

If you do not have the postage-paid envelope provided by HP, go to Recycle HP Instant Ink Cartridges to order an envelope.*

Instant Ink is basically a monthly subscription-based service from HP where you pay a fee each month for the number of pages you print, and HP will deliver new ink cartridges when your printer is about to run low. The plan is based on the number of pages and not on the ink cartridges

Hope this helps!

Keep me posted.

Hello community!

In the following link the information about the terms of use of Instant Ink is clarified. In the item registration and account you will find information about what happens with the cancellation of the account.
