 Hello jam4444,

Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I understand that you would like to learn how to scan multiple pages into one file and you have a Chromeboook and an Envy 5530.

The Envy 5530 does not have an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) that will allow you to scan multiple pages into one file without having the scanning software that is part of the full feature driver.  The ChromeOS does not support executable files which is the file type for a full feature driver. If you wish to learn more about this please see this post on Google Groups, titled "Can I open an .exe file on my Chromebook?".

I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

An automatic document feeder is irrelevant. All I want is to be able to scan 1 side, then be prompted to scan the second side of a two-page doc. This is how much older HP all-in-one's work. I assumed such basic functionality wouldn't be lost in a newer model.

I just purchased a 5530 because my other hp decided to not scan any longer.

I'm also having this issue. I want to scan multiple pictures into one file. Seems I have to do everyone separate and renaming EVERY pic is a royal PAIN. It says in the manual you can scan multiple pages, but there is no prompt to scan 'another item' like my old printer. Have been watching youtube videos all morning trying to find out how to do this magical feature, but they never get to scanning. VERY frustrating!! 😕
