A couple weeks ago my printer just started having this issue when I tried printing.
I get this Error
Subsystem: KERNEL
ERROR: IllegalTag
File Name: kernel.c
Line Number: 1969
I have done a virus scan and checked for updates etc. Ever since I updated to Windows 10 I seem to have nothing but trouble with this HP printer and my HP laptop. My printer will not continue to print wireless either whenever Windows does updates. I just get it fixed and Windows with do updates and boom there goes the wireless printing again.
My main concern right now is to just getting it to print though. I have never had this KERNEL error come up ever!!! Every HP printer we buy seems to have a issue. This will be the last one if this cant be fixed. Please help ASAP I need to print statements for my husband for the goverment for Veterans appeal.

In general, if the error is repeatable (i.e. exactly the same when reprinting the same document, using the same driver, to the same device), then it is likely that it is caused by a driver (or driver settings) fault.
There may be a more up-to-date driver available, or (depending on the printer model) you may perhaps be able to switch to a driver using a different Page Description Language (i.e. PCL5 or PostScript instead of PCL6 (the 'marketting' name for the PCL XL PDL)).
If the error(s) is/are random, they are much more likely to be the result of intermittent corruptions of the generated print stream between the workstation and the device (check cables, ports, switches, wireless, etc.).

I have checked all cables ports etc. As I stated in my original problem. I always have problem with wireless. I get it to run and as soon as Windows does a update of any kind for Windows 10. I loose the wireless option. I havent had a problem with it printing as long as the printer cable is hooked up to a usb port on my laptop until now.
Where do I go do check on these updated drivers?
This did just happen with one document. I wasnt sure if I should continue to try and print since this has never happened before.
The bad thing is I am trying to print items off my sons college site. So being able to do that is kind of important.
Thank you for your help
