HP Recommended

A good response "ihatehptheybad".

For me, I got so frustrated with HP and the error, I  chucked my lightly-used all-in-on HP device, and went to Staples to purchase an "anything but HP" printer. I told the salesperson that I wouldn't even consider the HP devices.

I ended up with a Brother all-in-one laser printer (MFC-9340CDW) for less than I paid for my HP inkjet. This Brother device has a touchscreen, laser quality and speed, duplex printing, scan to DropBox (and other services), and a plethora of other features I haven't even tapped yet. 4 months in, and I couldn't be more pleased with my not-HP device.

The conclusion of this whole debacle is a life-long non-HP user. I just purchased an ASUS convertable laptop, a Brother printer, a WD NAS for storage, and dual 29" AOC monitors. I specifically set out to NOT purchase HP products due to their total lack of support and subpar engineering solutions of their products.

Spread the word. Encourage people to become "anything-but-HP" people. They will be happier.
