bosque71 -- did you give Kudos to pcwizard? I think I should get a Kudos if I solved your problem...

pcwizard, I believe the fix I sent to bosque71 over email fixes the PDF issue completely. Please just give me a way to send you a 12 MB file and we can call this resolved.

Sorry about that KWII, I thought you were the HP guy.  I agree about HP.  They need to look back and fix their old unit software rather than just selling new machines.

pcwizard,

Thanks for putting that together - it's actually even simpler than what you posted. From "Settings" in step 5 of your Word doc, you can just click on the "File" tab and "Specify the default format type" as PDF.

Also, I would recommend using the link to retrieve your download in that Word file. The 4shared site is riddled with popups and craziness otherwise. The following link is directly to your zip file containing the fix:

http://dc312.4shared.com/download/Ubc9-dQT/ScanTo.zip?tsid=20120307-203421-eab0eb66

Any reason we can't get your instructions posted on the official site?

Thanks!

By the way, I was looking for the "Accept as Solution" button and couldn't find it on the page anywhere.

I would sure like to get access to that file you used to solve the scan to PDF problem on Win7 64bit.

If you can send me your email, I'll send you the file that solved the problem for me.
