Hi Tatiana,
The only drivers available for your printer are the basic plug and play drives. There if no fulled featured software and drivers available for your printer, and Windows 8.1.
Since the app/short cut is not working, I would suggest trying to scan from Paint. I have included the steps below for you to follow.
1. From the Start screen type Paint, and open up the Paint program
2. Click on File
3. Click pm From scanner or camera
4. Click on your printer, and click OK
Please let me know if this method of scanning is working.
Thank you! 🙂

Dear Lisa, thank you!
Unfortunately it did not work. Sorry for the late answer. I saw it only today.
1. When scanning from Paint .pdf format is not available (when I try to save the document after scanning it).
The available formats are PNG, GIFF, TIF, JPEG, .dib
2. "The only drivers available for your printer are the basic plug and play drives. There if no fulled featured software and drivers available for your printer, and Windows 8.1."
Where from could i get fulled featured software and drivers for laserjet 1319f MFP. Are there anywhere? Is there a link where from I could download them. Or they have not been developed by HP? Is the model of the MFP too old? I bought it aprox. 3 years ago.
This should be so simple! Dowloading, installing and scanning.
Best,
Tatiana

I have installed a second MFP I have, HP Deskjet F4210. Drivers - from HP website.
There is the same problem. I have but 4 options when scanning:
.tif
.bmp
.jpeg
.png
Where is the problem. Why can't I scan to .pdf files?

Hey Tatiana,
I would like to confirm some information with you about what the software installed on your computer.
1. When you installed the software for the F4210, did it install a Solution Center Icon on your desktop?
2. Do you have Adobe reader installed on your computer?
These two questions will help me determine the next steps that need to taken.
Thank you! 🙂

Dear Lisa,
Thanks for the reply.
The answer for both of your questions is yes, I have a solution center icon on the desktop and I have Adobe Acrobat for f4210.
I solved already the problem for Laserjet M1319f by installing ScanTo.msi file and creating the shortcut on hppscan0.exe. I've seen this solution suggested on the forum, but I could not find this file in my computer. A was helped by a friend who found this file in the internet, not on HP web-site.
Where from could I download a simmilar file for f4210?
Best,
Tatiana

Hi Tatiana,
I am glad to hear that you do have the option now for save your scanned image as a PDF from your LaserJet.
Now with the the DeskJet F4210, you do have the full featured software installed, so theoretically speaking it should have the option for saving as PDF, as long as you have a full up to date version of Adobe Reader. To make sure that you do have the latest full version of Adobe Reader, I have included a link to 'Adobe Reader' to download the software.
After installing the latest version of Adobe Reader, try scanning a document from the HP Solution Center. Do you see an option for PDF, or PDF Searchable (*.pdf)?
Looking forward to your reply.

Two years ago, I had a computer running Windows 7 Home Premium with an HP Laserjet M1319f. I had solved the inability to scan to a pdf file by using the solution set forth earlier in this thread (Message #24). However, I recently had to replace the computer and I need to once again set up a “scan to pdf” capability for the new computer. Unfortunately, I don’t have a copy of the “Scanto.zip” file and I cannot find a current solution. Can anyone point me to some solution that will allow my M1319f to scan to a pdf file? Thanks.

I have just purchased a win 7 machine (early 2015) and have the same problem of not being able to scan to pdf on a M1319f. I've gone to the site identified in the Word doc and am not able to get the right file. Can someone help with a current solution?

Hello, nick55...
I too was unable to find the files referenced in earlier posts to this thread. I finally purchased a scan-to-pdf application called "VueScan", which is offered by Hamrick. I bought just the basic version ($29.95) since I didn't need a bunch of bells and whistles--I just wanted something that would allow me to scan to pdf from my M1319f printer under Windows 7. This app works just fine... here's a link:

Thank you, BWare1947!
I have a CM2320fxi with the same problem on my new Win7-computer, now I can solve it. Nevertheless, I think it a shame that there isn't an HP-solution to this and one has to buy a driver.
