Hi guys,
For whatever strange reason, my LaserJet P3005dn jams ONLY when printing in duplex mode from Tray 2. Printing in duplex mode from Tray 1 is fine. Printing single-sided from Tray 2 is also fine.
I have no idea what is going on. It sounds like the printer is trying to feed more paper than it can manage. The jammed printouts seem to have been "folded" by the printer as well - there is quite a defined "line"/fold mark when I remove the paper from the rear bin.
Also, for whatever reason, when printing a 2-page document (which should technically only need 1 piece of paper in duplex mode), the printer feeds two sheets of paper (and the whole print job jams).
Firmware version: 20141217 02.190.3
Error Messages:
- 13.98.00 NON-SPECIFIC PAPER JAM
- 13.31.00 FUSER OUTPUT, PAPER LATE JAM
- 13.06.00 FUSER OUTPUT, PAPER STOPPED JAM
I have tried:
- Removed the fuser unit and looked at the pendulum gear thing, looks to be fine
- Cold reset the printer
- Some "percussive maintenance"
Would appreciate any insight. Thank you!
