I have been attempting to load the software for this new printer for a couple of hours now and obviously I need help. The printer came with a disk, however the software is not on the disk it simply gives me a link to go to in order to download software drivers. I downloaded the software and found it on my computer, when I double click it an icon briefly shows up on bottom of my screen but then quickly dissapears. I get an error message: "HP Firmware Updater quit unexpectedly" Can anyone help please??

I see you are facing an issue with installing the printer software on your computer running on MAC OS X 10.7. Happy to help
Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.
Have you tried to install the printer using HP Easy Start?
Recommend you to uninstall the printer, reset the printing system and install the printer by downloading HP Easy Start from this link.

Restart the MAC and run HP Easy Start to complete the installation. Click here to know more.
