Hi @kckeene117,
I see that you are experiencing issues setting up the printer over a wired network. I will certainly do my best to help you.
When the ethernet cable is connected to the printer and the router, the router should send a IP address to the printer automatically. (192.168....)
Power cycle the router and restart the computer and the printer. You may have to try another port on the router or another ethernet cable if you are still not getting a IP address. Check the connections on the back of the printer.
Do you have Mac Filtering on the router setup?
What kind of network setup do you have and what is the brand name? (modem/router, router, switch)
Check to see if you now have a valid IP address.
Here is a document for setting up the printer over the network.

I recently changed my internet supplier and now my modem is not next to my printer. I thought the printer could connect to the network wirelessly but it isn't working and I am not sure what to do now.
I know it works when my printer is connected to the modem via ethernet cable but now that the modem is no longer in the office it is proving to be a challenge.
Does the printer need to be connected to the network via ethernet cable or not? if it does not what am I doing wrong such that it is not working?
