When printer is powered on with switch or hard power cable plugin, it goes to Initializing and stays there. Tapping the "Home" button does get me access all the menus. The settings can be changed and the firmware has been updated. Ipv6 is disabled. Tried Restore Defaults. Did the hard reset with and without the toner cartridge installed. All to no avail.
The real problem is that I cannot print anything from the control panel on the printer, the web-based control page, or my computer.
I can access everything from the web-browser control page. Status is "Initializing"
All print request from the control page seem to execute and complete, but never print out a page on paper.
Any Ideas if this is fixable?

I had already disabled the IPv6 network setting and hard restarted the printer as instructed in the post you suggested.
The problem is not with the network connections, wired and wireless work just fine and can be pinged from my computer.
The problem is that the printer will not print anything. Reports from console, NO; Prints from computer, NO;
When I try to make a copy, the scanner unit cycles but nothing is printed. Display then goes back to "Initializing"

Tried the steps recommended to do the NVRAM Reset.
I held the touchpad in the right arrow and cancel button areas when turning on the power.
The HP logo & Energy star logo appear on the display for a few seconds then it goes directly to "Initializing"
The Permanent Storage Init. never appers on the display, no matter how long I hold the "buttons"

Managed to get the Permanent Storage Init. to appear on the display, I was pushing in the wrong location.
After The Permanent Storage Init. disappears the screen shows "initializing" and stays there forever, until I hit the "home button"
Then it says " Restore Defaults Please Wait" for 3 seconds and goes to the main menu display.
Still will not print when I try to make a copy, or do an internal report or demo page.

Thanks for your efforts, but HP phone "support" only wants to sell me a replacement printer.
This seems like a common issue. It is a shame that HP doesn't want to fix a printer that is less than two years old and has printed less than 4000 pages. Does not bod well for quality control.
