Thanks for this solution. It worked for me : My printer is now upgraded to 20200531.

I can not update to 20200602 and 20201103 ( The last one at this day : https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/LES/M127/HP_M127_128_FW_Update_20201012.exe ).

I am trying to update since I have network problem when the printer is connected to the internet router : I have micro interupts on internet connection when printer uses ethernet wired connection. It seems to use alternately 100% percent of CPU of the router (but I can not confirm because it is the box given by access provider ; I need to make some more tests...).

When printer is usb connected to the computer, there is no internet connection problem at all.

Worse situation here. Finally got the update to come up via network but the listed printer is a bunch of Chinese characters. When I do the update it lasts about 1 second and says its done but the FW isn't updated. If try to update via USB it says its updating but doesn't. Not sure how but must have installed a bad / malicious FW update. Have disconnected from network.

The May 2020 firmware previously linked to here is no longer available, and the latest version (20201012), like many others have reported, does not work. My situation:

- Current FW is 20160926

- I am trying to install FW 20201012 via Windows 10

- I'm connected over USB (it is impossible to update this printer's firmware any other way - the web GUI does not have a Settings or Admin page, there is no update option on the touchscreen menu, and the Windows firmware installer does not detect the printer over WiFi, only USB)

- Installer tool reports success but printer remains on old 2016 firmware.
HP, some help please?

HELP ! I have the exact same problem, spent 4 freaking hours with HP on the phone and they are USELESS.

The FTP links you posted are down. Can you please send me the old firmware update files? I need them desperately to update my printer.
