I have a fairly new LaserJet Pro MFP M225DW. I can't get it to print single-sided from my Windows 7 laptop. It used to. I often print double-sided to conserve paper, but sometimes I want single-sided output - but it always prints things double-sided. It doesn't matter what the application is. The software setup says Single-sided. But the output is duplex.
Other devices on the network (macs, ipad, android phone/tablet) aren't having this problem. Any idea what's up?
Thanks,
Pam

Hi @prs42 ,
I see that you are experiencing issues printing single sided from the Windows 7 computer, but you can print properly from the Macs, iPad, Android phone/Tablet. I would like to help you resolve this issue.
Most likely it is a setting from the application that you are printing from, if you have already unchecked the two-sided feature from the print driver.
From the application, check the printer settings. Go to File, Page Setup or depending what application you are using to to File, Print, change the settings there.
Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. Find and fix common printer problems using HP diagnostic tools for Windows?
I have provided a document for double checking the print driver settings, to make sure two-sided isn't selected.
Printing on Both Sides of the Paper (Duplexing).
What application are you printing from?
If you are still having just this issue from the computer, uninstall and reinstall the printer software.
HP LaserJet Pro MFP M225dw Drivers.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.
Have a great day!
Thank You.

I bought my laserJet Pro MFP M225DW Aug 2016, and have exact problem as earlier detailed - Inability to print single sided on Windows 10 pC. Here is the scenerio
Scenerio-1:
- Default setting > 2-sided priniting set to "ON" on printer property using HP Tool box (to preserve papers)
- Try to print single-sided from applications such as Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF, and selecting single-sided on printer property at pont of pringting, the printer still print 2-sided.
- Un-install and re-install driver (provided by hp), still same issue occured (unable to get the printer to print single sided, however I try)
Scenerio-2:
- Default setting > 2-sided priniting set to "OFF"(on printer property using HP Tool box)
- Printing single-sided from all tested applications works just fine (Adobe, MS Words, etc)
- Printing 2-sided, by selecting 2-sided (ON) on printer property at point of printing from within the application works just fine
Conclusion:
- There seems to be a bug in the dirver - Once the printer is set to 2-sided by default, this problem re-occurs (on Windows 10 pc)
Request:
- Please let me know if HP is planning to fix this.
Thank you
