When first turning on the printer in the morning it starts its initializing and gets stuck there for over an hour.  Have to turn the printer off and back on again to get it to work.

This also happens a few time through out the day.

What can we do to fix this?

Thanks for the help!

Hi @Dugroup,

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums! 🙂 To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/

I hope this helps!

In my case I unplugged the machine and disconnected the 3 scanner connectors and then powered on.  It didn't start up, but after removing power and plugging the scanner connectors back in and powering the machine up I was able to get it to the ready state.  I updated the firmware and cycled power without an issue.  I power cycled again with the scanner lid up and it stuck at initializing once again.  I noticed with the scanner lid up that the scanner bulb flickered erratically.  Closed the scanner lid and got it back to ready again.  My best guess is that the scanner is the culprit.
