I have a CP2025 laserjet printer in which the print is getting progressively worse over the past few weeks.  It seems to be faded down the majority of the center of the page.  All toners have been replaced and I get the same problem.  The printer does have 150K prints, so is there a part that it beyond it's useful life, i.e. fuser, laser, etc.  Image included.  Any input would be appreciated.  Thanks

Thanks for your post,

I would recommend first to calibrate the color

Calibration is a product function that optimizes print quality. If you experience any print-quality problems,

calibrate the product.

1.Open HP ToolboxFX.

2.Click the Device Settings folder, and then click the Print Quality page.

3.In the area for Color Calibration, select the Calibrate Now check box.

4.Click Apply to calibrate the product immediately.

If this step does not solve the problem, and the toner cartridges are not causing this problem, Could be a few things: mostly fuser and ITB, even the laser scanner, so I would recommend to call HP support,

I hope this helps,

While this looks like a fade in all colors, there are some interesting aspects. Since the streaking does line up down the colors for some of them, there is a hint that the ITB or big belt near the bottom of the printer area may have some contamination or scratching. However, it mostly looks like two of your cartridges are very low on toner or developer life. If you know how to print or view a supplies status page, please check on this. I think black is very low and probably cyan. The Red is yellow and magenta combined magenta may be OK and yellow a bit low, but it is hard to tell from the photo. I might guess you have printed many many low coverage pages during the life of these cartridges and have worn down some of the internal parts that are replaced when you buy new cartridges - original HP I hope ((;-)> Dovid

Can the ITB be replaced.  Also I have seen some discussion about dirty morrors.  Can those be cleaned?

Hello,

The ITB can be replaced:

Part number of Intermediate transfer belt (ITB) is RM1-4852-000CN,

I can see you have run a lot of pages on this unit, probably also replace Fuser

RM1-6740-000CN and transfer roller included in RM1-4838-000CN

The laser glass can be cleaned as well,

All of this is intended to be performed by an HP authorized engineer because involves screws and printer parts removal that may be not safe for regular users.

I am not the OP, but have almost the same problem, with about 15k pages printed. I have service manual. Can you refer me to the section in that document that addresses cleaning the laser glass?
HP Recommended

I do not think this will be on the service manual,

but if you have iy maybe in the theory of operation you will find that when the laser writes on the drum of the toner cartridge, the laser goes trough a glass, usually this glass is part of the laser/scanner module.

Again, My recommendation is to take your printer to an authoirized service center.
