LaserJet Pro CM1415fn ColorMFP
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello there,

My Laserjet Pro CM1415fn Color MFP printer after being out of use for a very long time and finally installing all the four (4) cartridges has started malfunctioning.

After a few page prints of a document it goes into cleaning mode and after some time presents a mis-print error. On pressing Ok which is presented on the screen it continues printing but not in order of pages left to print. Pages already printed are reprinted. After a few prints it returns to the cleaning mode and this is repeated all again.

Please advise on how to address the above problem.

@ChrisLC,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out.

I understand that your HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fn Color Multifunction Printer keeps re-printing the pages already printed and also the cleaning page.

This issue could occur if the printer is not calibrated properly.

Don't worry as I have a few steps that should help fix this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Clean and Calibrate the Printer

Note: The printer name will be different in the above link but the steps are the same for this unit.

If the issue still persists, then you may restore the printer to its factory defaults by following the steps provided below:

Note: Restoring the factory-set defaults returns all of the product and network settings to the factory defaults, and it also clears the fax header name, phone number, and any stored faxes in the product memory. This procedure also clears the fax phone book and deletes any pages that are stored in the memory. The procedure then automatically restarts the product.

1. On the product control panel, touch the Setup button.

2. Scroll to and touch the Service menu.

3. Scroll to and touch the Restore Defaults button, and then touch the OK button. The product automatically restarts.

Let me know how that works.

I hope you have a good day ahead.
