Hi all, I need help with my printer,
it is making a very loud grinding scratchy noise right before printing. I tried disconnecting cables and waiting a few minutes and it is not working. It does print but after the loud noise goes away then it prints and it prints perfectly! Help please this noise is so bad I think it will break.
Thank you,
AliOri

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
I see that you're experiencing loud grinding noise issue with the HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Printer,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- When was the last time it worked fine?
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
While you respond to that, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
Let's try these steps:
- Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
- Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
- Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
- The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector. Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.
If the issue still persists then please try the steps from this link. I sincerely hope this fixes the issue.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,
