HP M1212nf MFP
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi,

One of our field worker has an HP M1212nf MFP (company provided) she is using at home. user said fax has been working flawlessly since the day it was setup until yesterday when it stopped receiving fax. Sending fax is working.

When someone tries to send her a fax they just hear the phone ringing but fax doesn't pick it up.

It is set up to answer automaticaly after 2 rings (tried all, min and max - do not help). She have a phone line connected directly to the fax machine.

Tried the following with no luck. Did a reset and firmware update but didn't helped. Please help!

Set Auto Mode to Automatic

Turned off Private Receive

Turned off Error Correction

Changed Fax Speed to Medium

Cleared Saved Faxes

@desksupport

Thank you for joining HP Forums.

I'll be glad to help you 🙂

As I understand the HP Laserjet M1212nf MFP does not receive faxes although you are able to send them out,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

What time of fax line do you have? (Analog phone line, Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL), Phone line with a cable modem or VoIP Network)

Have you looked for a solution using related HP Forum posts?
