Good morning everyone,

Our administrative assistant has a Laserjet Pro Color 400 (M451dn) in her office and it suddenly began making loud squeaking noises when printing.  I've checked the printer and it seems to be coming from the back panel, but I can't identify the part causing the noise.  It occurs during printing, but keeps going after the print job is done and the rollers have stopped moving, but the machine is still making noises prior to going back to "standby" mode.

I read an old thread from 2013 that proposed the fuser would be the issue, but that person's issue was slightly different (the noise happened on large print jobs, not at almost every sheet printed), so I'd like to confirm if that part is the one most likely to be causing the issue.

Thanks in advance

My experience has been that this noise is a TONER issue...The sound is just traveling to the rear by the movement of the paper through the paper path..
