hp laserjet enterprise m506dn
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

so I installed creator's update on all the office pcs.

then users complained their manual feed  is printing upside down. (actually all trays are upside down) since they are printing on paper with pre printed letterhead from the manual tray.

I've upgraded all firmware to latest version.

it still persists.

then I tried the latest drivers. the type 3 drivers are fine and print correctly. the type 4 drivers, as well as those that windows originally provided are printing in the reverse orientation.

using type 3 from HP_LJ_Ent_M506-PCL6_Print_Driver_no_Installer_16124

@chrisloup

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂

I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.

As I understand the HP Laserjet M506dn type 4 driver/windows default prints upside down after windows 10 creators update, however, the Type 3 driver works fine,

I'd like to thank you for the detailed description of your concern,

 as you have ensured I don't have to ask any more questions, that said, I would recommend you revert the Type 3 drivers for now until Microsoft released another update with a fix for the Type 4 drivers, considering we don't seem to have any alternatives as off now.

Keep me posted if you're looking for any other alternatives,

If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,

Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.  Have a great day!
