My MFP M475 has begun displaying "Fuser 50.9 Error".

I have followed the displayed instructions to power cycle and have disconnected from mains overnight however the problem persists. This error prevents using the unit.

The unit became out of warranty in June 2013 however the usage has been very light, still running on the originally shipped toner cartridges - estimate in the order of 2000 prints in total.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Description

The product has experienced an internal hardware error.

Recommended action

Turn off the power by using the power switch, and then wait at least 30 seconds.

If a surge protector is being used, remove it. Connect the product directly into the wall socket.

Turn on the power and wait for the product to initialize.

If the error persists, replace the Fusing Assembly:smileytongue:art Number Part Description

Thank you David.

The instructions are clear, and thanks also for providing the replacement part numbers, it helps.

I suppose a question for HP is whether it is expected or reasonable that I should need to replace such an expensive item every 2000 prints...

call HP and ask there might be a known issue.
